This is the game we had last week that made me decide I needed to get back and do some more work on my Burgundians again. Their opponent is my mates rather large Maximilian Juggernaut, which is a beast of an army ( their first outing as well ). Swiss pike had to stand in for his Landsknechts which aren't finished yet. I love those large units of German knights....brutal looking bunch.
Cheers all
Richard

This is the stuff that makes my heart go pitter patter! Wonderful! It looks like you got into his back line with your knights, so maybe a win for you?
ReplyDeleteThanks guys. Yep it was a fun game.....and yes Monty I did win in the end. It was the charge by the Burgundian Guard Gendarmes that saved the day, that's them in the last pic. Broke a pike block, knocked over a large unit of German knights then proceeded to start pushing back the remaining German knights and with their general attached. ...before stopping with a drawn melee, all in the same round... Insane stuff !
ReplyDeleteThing is that left flank was looking shaky the turn before for the Duke, just amazing how quick things can change.
A very nice report and some great looking troops...
