Iberians had their first run last night up agains't Ralph's Early Crusaders, not exactly an historical match but still an interesting one. Will take some time getting the hang of these guys hmmm….they managed the win but I can see this will be a delicate army to use. Ralph had quiet a few new additions to his army as well mostly lots of pilgrims …. game was 350pts.
Very nice mate. Sapniards look great - so do Ralph's boys.

DeleteBeautiful pictures, your camps are really awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks Phil … yes the camps you can really go to town with.
DeleteGreat looking table with lovely painting on both sides! Love your Iberian camp. The leaders and casualty markers are a great touch too.
ReplyDeleteIs it challenging to run an impetuous army? In theory, if the Scutarii can get in without being nicked, all the impetus dice should be very powerful.
Thanks Monty, I did the casualty markers quiet some time back the dial dude that made them isn't operating anymore :-(
DeleteIt is challenging to run you have to be a little careful with it. The Celtiberians are the chaps with the impetus, they can be dangerous but you don't get many of them in this army. If I took a straight Celtiberian force then yes ouch !! They are hard to control though …..but lot's of fun.
Deletelooks like to me the miniatures are primed white undercoat before painting? really outstanding painting of miniatures here... the basing/flocking of the units look marvelous and the table playing area looks cool as well! The camps look great, I like the priest - 6th photo? I also see a tea set silver ware? :o) one tea with lemon for me please...
ReplyDeletethanks for your game report and photos of the miniatures... Great!
cheers,
Sorry for not getting back sooner Phil. Yes white undercoat….and yes we drink a lot of tea in this house always a brew on if your passing :-)
DeleteImpressive looking army mate!
ReplyDeleteCheers Sparker yes I've been wanting a 28mm Spanish army…I've got one in 15mm as well hahaha happy days.
DeleteI'd so love to see the 15mm chaps. And Roma beat me to it.
DeleteThey're old strip minifigs figures Monty which I have a soft spot for in a retro old school kind of way. Some pic's here :-)
