Burgundians are on their way

Some old paint jobs and some new......as well as figs from my War of the Roses army, now pushed into Burgundian service ( all Old Glory ).
A little more work to do on the basing and some more new flags and it should be up and running soon I hope. Long bows are ready for basing, and another unit of Feudal crossbow on the blocks.......can't wait.
Still trying to work out this new camera of mine....but here's a few pics.
The crossbows are actually Hussites, but I'm using them as lowland  types.......who cares, I like the pavises and they look scruffy enough.

  7. Most kind gents, I've got a little more work to do still but things are progressing nicely. My opponent has nearly finished his Swiss and now onto his Imperials, so the pressure's on.

  8. The pavises are amazing and I especially like your metalwork. Is there just a bit of blue ink or wash in it? Looks fantastic!

    1. No nothing special Monty, it's actually just dry brushed gunmetal over a black undercoat then silver dry brushed over that for the highlights. The gunmetal is even craft paint, so no secrets there either.

    2. Well, the results are excellent. I tried drybrushing some 15mm knights and it just didn't work out in that scale. I'll remember this for when I scale up!
